Air Transport Users Council (AUC) accuses airlines of ripping off people who make mistakes booking tickets online.
Ryanair dismissed the watchdog’s complaints. “Over 90million passengers travel to and from the UK each year yet because the AUC (Aimless, Useless and Clueless) receives only 300 letters about passengers making mistakes they call on the entire airline industry to tackle an issue that does not exist,” a spokesman said.
“It would be a lot cheaper to cut funding to the overpaid and clearly underworked AUC and invest this money in ‘internet for beginners’ classes so that these 300 passengers can join the other 90 million passengers in the real world of personal responsibility.”
